Mediate Kent is a specialist mediation and dispute resolution centre in Maidstone, the Heart of Kent.

Our Directors have, over the years, become tired of having to visit London to find good quality mediators and mediation facilities and so decided to set up business to assist local people and local businesses in Kent and the South East to find a solution to their problems.

Mediation is a great way to resolve your differences and although it isn’t free, it can be a lot cheaper than having to go to a trial at Court. Because of the cost effectiveness of mediation, the Courts often insist that parties try to resolve their problems through a form of alternative dispute resolution, before commencing proceedings.

The mediator is an independent facilitator who attempts to help the parties find a solution to their dispute. Those entering into a mediation should consider what they want from the process bearing in mind what they could end up with using an alternative solution.

Mediation is also often a useful way to keep a business or personal relationship going which would be possibly irreparably damaged by the expensive Court Process

Mediation can and should be used for any type of dispute, even if it is not necessarily something which is headed for Court. Family feuds, disagreements or bullying at work, in schools, at home, in the community or in social care as well as neighbour disputes have the potential to make life unhappy and can be resolved through mediation.
